Vernon Davis, six foot three, two hundred and fifty pounds (also a studio art major, by the way), cries after catching the game winning touchdown.
I think athletes are really beautiful people, not just physically. Giving their lives, their bodies, and their minds to their love. And with Vernon crying after his catch, man, it is so apparent that he gives his heart as well. I have to admit I teared up a bit after seeing him emotional.
And couldn’t we all learn from his moment? Giving everything he was blessed with to his teammates, to his sport, to his dream, and succeeding in a glorious way.
I think we all can have those moments like Vernon’s in our lives if we give ourselves and our hearts to the things we love. And man, when I have mine, I’m going to have tears of joy too. Vernon and his moment just so happened to be on national television, the biggest stage on earth, so that I could learn from him.
Sports is a beautiful thing. Life is a beautiful thing.
